    Suburban areas are very popular, and are residential areas that are filled with homes, not densely compacted, but close to a city. Gary Colen moved down to Cary, North Carolina in 2004 after having his third child. His family and him made the move from city living to suburban to have more space, and less crowded areas for his growing family.     In the United States, rural areas take up about 98 percent of the country but are home to only 25 percent of the population (National Geographic) Gary Colen currently lives on a farm located in Pittsboro, North Carolina, which is in Chatham County. Rural areas known for:

  • Relatively inexpensive
